The first images of an unknown part of the Universe was from the hidden side of the Moon. Using a phototelevision camera for taking the photo frames. They were scanned and the information was trasmitted to the Earth on magnetic tape. The signals were printed out as greyscale datas on paper sheets as the parts, 'pixels' of the whole photograph one by one. At the end they put together all the informations, the papers...They needed a big space to put them together so they ended up using a stadium. And all of those old photographs about it were made finally from the top of the stadium, watching down. This technic was used for several times. wow, this is incredible. More about it : Here.
